These are the Laws of the City of Mayene, as announced by the First, Lady Berelain sur Paendrag Paeron. These laws will be enforced without prejudice, and will be conducted in a mannerly and military fashion.
- Beyond the Palace Gates, which reside directly east of the Market Square, no one may have his or her weapon drawn. All weapons must be either sheathed in scabbard, baldric, belt, or simply removed while visiting the Palace.
This also applies to channeling. While we simple Guardsmen can not tell if your embracing the One Power, we will consider anny offensive weave to be the same as drawing a weapon. The consequences will also be the same for having a weapon drawn inside the palace.
- There will be no channeling of any kind while in the Throne Room. Those who violate this act will be punished accordingly, as Lady Berelain will be conducting the punishment. To those of you who choose to disreguard this law, I fear for you and the company you keep.
- While we understand the need for Gateways, we also understand the discomfort it causes our citizens. Therefore, by order of the First, it has been decided that there will be two places from which you may create a gateway. These two places will be the Serene Park, which is located north of the bank, and the Empty Parking Lot. The parking lot can be found to the east of the city, in the residentual district.
- There will be no fighting in the streets, period. Fighting will not be tolerated, and will be disposed of immediatly.
Punishments for breaking these laws will follow accordingly:
The act of murder or attempted murder will result in the immediate warranting of the perpetrator if caught inside the city of Mayene, or in her territories.
Otherwise:
- On the offender's first offense, they will be banished permanently from the Palace grounds, and asked to leave the city for a twenty four hour period. The Guard who sees it will have sole discretion over this penalty and may give a single warning to those who may not know better.
